About the Role:

As a Senior Backend Developer and Platform Specialist, you will design and develop robust, secure backend solutions and APIs, while also configuring and managing Azure cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about building scalable systems with strong security and performance standards.

Responsibilities:

Backend Development:

• Design and implement APIs using JavaScript/TypeScript
• Build RESTful and GraphQL services
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Integrate backend with frontend and external APIs
• Work with microservices and event-driven systems

Platform Engineering:

• Containerize apps using Docker and Docker Compose
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Manage application deployment, scaling, and monitoring

Azure Cloud Network & Security:

• Configure Azure VNets, NSGs, and Load Balancers
• Manage identity and access via Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and MFA
• Optimize storage using Azure Blob Storage and Azure Files
• Deploy and manage Azure App Services and Virtual Machines
• Monitor systems using Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center

Agile Development:

• Work in Scrum or Kanban teams
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of backend development and platform engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js/NestJS and PostgreSQL
• Proficient in cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure
• Experience setting up secure, scalable cloud environments
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in agile teams and mentor junior engineers
